- Plug in your mouse's receiver. The receiver fit into one of your computer's / laptop's available USB ports. This will allow Plugging in the receiver before the computer to install any drivers or software needed to use the mouse.
- Make sure that your mouse has batteries. Turn on your mouse. This typically involves using the On/Off switch on the side or the bottom of the mouse.
- Press the "Connect" button that is usually between the two mouse buttons, on the mouse's side or on the bottom of the mouse. Some mice come listed as "plug and play", meaning that you don't need to manually connect them or download any software.
- Move your mouse around. Once you see the cursor begin to move on-screen, your mouse is connected.
